I am in day 4th of my pre op diet..I also have notice it has gotten easier however they have me in 2 shakes a day and 3 oz of any kind of meat and a small salad.I am having my surgery on the 27th.
I read a book awhile back (sorry, don't remember the name) that basically embraced this idea and gave you steps to take to be that way. It said you had to lie to yourself every day. So if you're goal is to be fit and healthy, you'd wake up every morning, look in the mirror and say I am fit and healthy and then pretend to live the lifestyle that matched..by hiking after work or something. The theory was that if you lie to yourself enough, you start to believe it and you start to live it. Interesting theory at least...
Very interesting. Silly thing, that could probably work for me ;) I know small steps this past week, when I really, really wanted to sneak something - I was like "umm, nope! that's not gonna get me to my goal". Thanks for sharing. If you happen to remember the name, let me know :)
