Today I feel like....

bullets. My mind is everywhere.

  • It's only Tuesday and this week has been so, so crazy at the office. The Director of Accounting had to take an emergency leave last Tuesdsay, and hasn't yet returned. I've been training via phone/email to do her job - in addition to mine. Love being busy but just a wee bit stressed. Is it the weekend yet?
  • My hair is still fallin out and I.am.so.over.it. My surgeon's office says that hair loss isn't common with band patients; thoughts? I know I've asked before but now I'm stressing something else could be wrong.
  • My husbands blackout season began March 1; we can't vacation until June. Note: Our 10th Wedding Anniversary is April 7.
  • I think I am officially brave enough to purchase a pair Nike running capri's. I've never owned anything so fitted; I'm excited.
  • I know 11 people who are expecting babies. I can't wait until it's my turn!
  • Yard sale season is upon us; anyone else as stoked about that as I am?
  • Speaking of, I need to have one myself.
  • So, my personal record on the eliptical on Saturday was - 2.5 miles, 325 calores, 30 min.
  • This was yesterdays: 3.21 miles, 413 calories, 40.20 min.

  • I plan on going further today.
  • I'm craving mexican food.
  • I should get back to work.

  3. Here's some info about post-op hair loss: http://familydoctor.org/online/famdocen/home/men/general/081.html

I lost hair after both my pregnancies and my WLS. It is normal. It will stop eventually. I promise!

Your surgeon's office should know this :)

  4. I hope you figure out what is going on with the hair loss. If it's not a protein thing, maybe it's hormonal? Gosh, that would really suck! Your surgeon's office should be able to give you SOME kind of insight other than it's not usual?!

  6. OK. Your doc is wrong. At least in my incredibly scientific poll (of following like 100 WLS blogs), hair loss is VERY common with band patients. Mine is coming out in chunks. I've heard Biotin helps or upping your protein. So far, nothing has helped me...BUT, but but I've also heard it's temporary and will eventually come back healthier than before. Also, my hairdresser says she's seen it before and no permanent damage done. So take that however you want.

Great job on the elliptical and I hate yard sales. I had 4 for them last year to raise money for charity and if I have to haggle over one more "gently used" item, I'd kill someone. Just my 2 cents. Have a good day!

  8. I take Biotin supplements and they seem to help the hair loss.
